
Mr. Chandradeepsing Banee has been arrested on 06 June 2025 for an alleged offence of Financing of Drug Dealing, in breach of Section 45(2)(e) of the Financial Crimes Commission Act 2023.
Based on evidence at hand, there is reasonable ground to suspect that Mr. Banee unlawfully derived profit by directly or indirectly aiding in the transportation of dangerous drugs. Specifically, he is believed to have provided a motor vehicle to another individual for the purpose of transporting such substances.
Mr. Banee was brought before the Week End Court on 07 June 2025, where he was remanded to police custody until 09 June 2025.
On 09 June 2025, he appeared before the District Court of Lower Plaines Wilhems. The FCC objected to his release on bail. The Court has ordered that he remains in police custody until 16 June 2025.
