Education and Preventive Division

Consisting of a multidisciplinary team of professionals from the fields of Accounting, Auditing, Communication, Economics, Finance, Education, Legal and Multimedia, the functions of the EPD include the following:

• carry out public campaigns to alert the public on the dangers of financial crimes and the manner by which complaints against financial crimes shall be made;
• examine and review practices and procedures of any public body in order to facilitate the detection of financial crimes and ways by which financial crimes may be eliminated;
• exercise vigilance and superintendence over the integrity systems of public bodies and issue such guidelines where necessary;
• liaise with private sector organisations and trade unions for the setting up of anti-financial crimes practices;
• organise workshops and other activities to promote campaigns for the prevention and elimination of financial crimes; and
• assist in enhancing the school curriculum so as to educate children on the dangers of financial crimes.
