Following the execution of a Court order confiscating assets derived from proceeds of crime, the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) took possession of an immovable property (a house) and a speed boat. Both assets were financed through drug proceeds by Mr. Joseph Noel Andre, who was convicted of money laundering in June 2024.
The speed boat underwent valuation and was sold through a public bidding process to the highest bidder for a consequent sum of money. The boat was officially released from the FCC premises on 08 August 2025. The house is in the process of being realised.
This action reaffirms the FCC’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that no individual benefits from proceeds of crime, including those stemming from drug trafficking, and to assist in reinforcing public trust in the justice system.
