The Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) conducted a two-day mission to Rodrigues on 12–13 December 2025 to mark International Anti-Corruption Day 2025, under the theme “From Commitment to Action: Integrity for Sustainable Development.”

Led by Mr. Titrudeo Dawoodarry, Acting Director-General, the mission aimed to re-establish the FCC’s presence in Rodrigues after a six-year hiatus, raise awareness of financial crimes under the FCC Act 2023, promote multi-stakeholder dialogue, and secure concrete commitments to strengthen anti-corruption efforts.

The mission also included a visit to the FCC Sub-Office in Rodrigues located at Camp du Roi, reaffirming the Commission’s permanent operational presence on the island and its commitment to ensuring continuity in investigations, education, and preventive actions.

Key activities included workshops with around 64 public officers, a working session with Heads of Commissions, media engagements, and direct outreach to the public and youth. Systemic challenges addressed included lack of cooperation, interference in investigations, and resource constraints.
