The Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) had the privilege of hosting Mr. Simon Marsh, Head of Africa at the International Centre for Asset Recovery (ICAR) of the Basel Institute on Governance, during his official visit to Mauritius from 06 to 08 August 2025. The visit formed part of ongoing collaboration between the FCC and ICAR aimed at strengthening national capacity in the areas of financial investigations, asset recovery, and the fight against corruption and money laundering. In this interview, Mr. Marsh outlines the main objectives of his mission to Mauritius and underscores the importance of strategic engagement with national institutions in advancing asset recovery and promoting good governance.
