Mandate
The FCC attaches significant importance to regional and international cooperation in its strategy to fight financial crimes. Section 6(2)(b) of the FCC Act 2023 reads as follows:
“In the discharge of its functions and exercise of its powers under subsection (1), the Commission shall cooperate, collaborate and establish links with local, regional and international institutions, agencies, organisations or bodies with a view to fostering local, regional and international cooperation in the fight against financial crimes…”
